Friday, August 12

Riders will enjoy a flat warm up through the flat lands outside of Davis before climbing up to Lake Berryessa, then continue through the vineyards of Napa Valley along the Silverado Trail.

The ride follows Hwy 128 northwest through Geyserville and Cloverdale before climbing again toward the Anderson Valley.

We will have a staffed control at the Indian Creek Campground in Philo, which has the last reliable services until Fort Bragg. It is a good idea to get some food here.

The open valley slowly transitions into redwoods as we approach the coast, where we head to Fort Bragg, the northernmost point of the ride. Riders will have the choice to rest here or press on and get some rest at the Indian Creek Campground. This will mean that day two will be either be 185 miles to Fort Bragg or 229 miles to Indian Creek.
